The Dormont Elementary PFO is a very active organization comprised of parents, faculty, and staff. We are proud of our diversity on the DEPFO; our executive board is comprised of stay-at-home parents, work-from-home parents, and parents who work outside the home. No matter your time commitment or constraints, your interest and volunteerism is valued by the DEPFO. The DEPFO is committed to providing an atmosphere of mutual helpfulness between Dormont Elementary families and faculty. We strive to provide supplemental activities that promote learning and fun for our children, including field trips, assemblies, Field Day, and classroom parties and other social activities.

The Dormont Elementary PFO provides a number of activities for students and faculty to enjoy throughout the year. As you can imagine some of these activities come with a lot of planning and need many hands to make them successful. Others are smaller and can be completed from the comfort of your home.
Some of these activities are arranging assemblies for the whole school, securing class field trip chaperones, organizing school dances, organizing the book fair (set-up, volunteers, decorating, etc.), planning for the annual Haunted Trail, organizing Teacher Appreciation Week, finding parents to plan the class parties, overseeing fundraising for 5th grade projects, planning and securing help for the end of the year field day celebration, maintaining the school garden, and organizing the annual Winter Carnival fundraiser.
